Skincare Empties I Would 100% Repurchase!

It’s no secret that I’m skincare obsessed! With this (healthy) obsession, comes the need to try a variety of products until I find the right ones. Over many years I have tried and tested different brands from low-end to high-end and everything in between. You can tell I’m happy and impressed with a product if I keep going back to repurchase it. I’m letting you in all the skincare empties that I continuously go back to.

Let’s start with cleanser. My absolute favourite cleanser is the Panoxyl Creamy Wash. I love how smooth and clean it makes my face feel and a small amount really does go a long way. Once I started using this I haven’t gone back. It’s great evening if you skin isn't acne prone and you simply get the odd blemish here and there.

When I’m having a breakout or experiencing texture then my go-to is Dr. Barbara Sturm’s Enzyme Cleanser. It’s a little on the expensive side but it lasts forever. Sturm knows what she’s doing when it comes to skincare and is a trustworthy source for tips. I use this cleanser once or twice a week or as needed and it gives my skin such a lovely deep clean. It comes in powder form and you just add water and lather to reveal squeaky clean skin.

Sticking on the Sturm hype, I adore her Hyaluronic Serum. I have tried a fair few and this is by far my favourite. It feels dewy and hydrating in a non-sticky way and I find it lasts a long time making it worth splashing the cash.

Another serum I keep going back to, much to my bank accounts dismay, is the Sunday Riley Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment. I use a little of this every or every other evening and immediately feel my skin is smoother and more plump. Whenever I use this I notice a difference in the morning and find it to be one of the best products I’ve used for evening out my skin’s texture.

I know I’m not alone with this next one as it is all the rage, it’s Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting BHA Exfoliant*. I tried this toner once and have continued to do so since. I often buy the travel size as there is still a generous amount in there and it’s great if you’re anything like me and find your skincare takes up a lot of room. This product doesn't feel too harsh on my skin and is great for minimising pores.

If you haven’t been to a French pharmacy then you’re missing out. It’s a skincare fanatics, heaven! The French do skincare very well and that has been proven by world famous brand, La Roche-Posay. I’ve tried a handful of their products and the ones I always go back to are the Effaclar Duo (SPF 30)* and the Cicaplast Soothing Repairing Balm*. I find these both to work wonders for my skin!

My go-to SPF is the EltaMD Broad-Spectrum SPF 46*. I go for the tinted version because although it’s super light, it gives a lovely glow and evens out my skin tone nicely. I find lot’s of SPF’s to be very heavy and greasy whilst sometimes breaking me out. This one has never caused any problems for me and instead feels light and hydrating.

Lip balms are an item I have tried hundreds & hundreds of. I am prone to dry lips and sensitive to lots of products which make them worse. Despite continuing to try and find great new lip products, I always fall back onto Eucerin Aquaphor Healing Ointment*. In general this is a fantastic product if you are experiencing dry or cracked skin. The only downside is that it does not contain SPF so during the hotter months this might not be the best option, however, in winter, it’s a lifesaver.

Those are all my top scoring skincare products which time after time end up in my shopping basket.
