JS Health Vitamins: Review

I don't know if this is just me but for as long as I can remember vitamins have been a part of my routine. Or at least they were recommended to be. I’ve been vegetarian for years now and so one of the big ones I was always recommended to take was B12. I’ve also had various health issues and a low immune system with blood tests showing my lack of vit D and various others.

You can get a lot of vitamins from the food that you eat and educating yourself on this is definitely worth it for your general health & wellbeing. I found out about any deficiencies from having blood tests. This is another good way to find out what you specifically are lacking because everyone is different.

I came across the brand JS Health Vitamins by chance and couldn’t be happier about it! It was founded by Jessica Sepel who had an interest in vitamins from a young age and used this to create vitamins with effective ingredients which actually do what they say on the box.

The first from JS Health I tried were the Hair & Energy vitamins. It is recommended to take one pill every morning. I have always had insecurities surrounding my hair from a younger age when my hair felt extremely dry, frizzy and unruly. When I tell you I have tried hundreds of products over the years, this is no exaggeration. From various shampoos & conditioners to hair oils and hair masks. I’ve tried it all! I had never thought about what vitamins I might be lacking which could play a role in the overall condition of my hair. Not only was there a lot of breakage but despite consistent hair cuts I didn't feel like it would grow very quickly at all. Furthermore, I used to use a lot of heat on my hair and this caused damage which I found hard to reverse.

I now have a very different approach to my hair and don’t use too many products as I don’t want to strip my hair of its natural oils. I loved the idea of taking vitamins to promote healthy hair and when I came across JS Health I was very pleasantly surprised. I’ve been taking these pills consistently for 6+ months now and I won’t go a day without them! The difference in the overall health, look and feel of my hair is incomparable to what it was a few years ago.

Although targeted towards hair, these vitamins will also promote healthy skin and nails. Both of which being other areas I hadn’t thought to benefit with the use of vitamins. This is supported with the use of Zinc in the vitamins which has numerous benefits to our health. Another key ingredient is Iodine which can be great in supporting thyroid function, something that can be very prevalent and important for women as we are more susceptible to an under-active thyroid. The use of Iodine is used to maintain and support energy levels so this vitamin is a great way to start your day!

The next vitamins from JS Health that I tried was the Detox & Debloat.

I’ve always had issues with bloating and digestion. I saw something that said ‘are you even a girl if you don’t have stomach problems’ and this is so true for me! A lot of this is about figuring out what is going on in your gut. What’s good for it and what’s not. I am sympathetic to this not being the easiest discovery to make and it can take a lot of time as well as trial and error. It’s very debilitating to have feelings of nausea, bloating and indigestion and not know what to do about it. For me there was no obvious issue i.e. gluten etc as there was a lack of consistency with when I felt bloated and what I had eaten prior.

I thought I’d exhausted various suggestions and decided to incorporate these vitamins into my routine. The recommended dosage is one vitamin twice daily, after a meal. I began to take one after lunch and one after dinner and hand on heart I’ve noticed a difference. I do give credit to eating cleaner ingredients as playing a part but these vitamins have definitely helped. When I bloat naturally as one does after eating, it is no longer as painful or as intense as it once was.

The use of fennel seed is great to relieve bloating and support digestion, combined with turmeric which has numerous healing qualities such as supporting the liver.

I then decided to try the Skin & Digestion formula. Skincare is very important to me and I am always willing to try new things to promote healthy skin. As I was already a trusting customer of JS Health, I thought it was worth giving these ago and I do not regret that decision! What I like about the use of vitamins for your skin is that they can help heal your gut which in turn can result in improved overall skin. Vitamin C used in this formula is great for promoting your collagen production as well as for the function of your immune system. Zinc is great, not only for your skin but also for your metabolism. Similarly, the use of Riboflavin and Pantothenic Acid both contribute to normal energy-yielding metabolism.

I take this one alongside the Detox & Debloat, twice a day after meals.

If you are interested in trying anything else then take a look at the JS Health Vitamins website as you can read all about the benefits of each product as well as a full ingredients list. Jessica Sepel has created a world-renowned brand to promote health and the use of vitamins in our daily routine. I have tried various other products such as the collagen powder which is a staple in my morning smoothie, as well as the skincare products. I particularly love the Luminous Vitamin Oil and all the clean ingredients across the board. I’m yet to try the hair products but it’s certainly next on my list!
